Ari Lennox

Courtney Shanade Salter, also known as Ari Lennox, a Washington, D.C.-based American singer/songwriter, was signed by the label's the first artist of female gender for Dreamville Records by J. Cole. The first single, Pho which was released on 21 October 2016 was released by Dreamville Records. Her career began to grow in recognition. Shea Butter Baby is her debut album. It came out in May 2019. Ari Lennox first uploaded music online in 2012. Her debut album Ariography as well as her debut mixtape in 2013 with the mixtape Five Finger Discount. The singer continued uploading her music online in 2014 and released her own single Bound. In 2015, she was featured on Omen's Elephant Eyes Album, which came out on the 21st July. it out on 21st July. J. Cole asked her to collaborate with him for Rihanna's reference. In the following season, the music was circulating around Dreamville. On December 28, 2008 it was revealed that Rihanna had signed with Dreamville Records. Backseat was her contribution for The Revenge of the Dreamers II album. In October 2016 the singer-songwriter released her debut EP Pho. Ari Lennox was a guest on J. Cole's Change and also performed as part of the 4 Your Eyez Only Tour as opening artist. She also appeared in 2018 in two of her songs with labelmates EarthGang to Nothing but the Best. Also, she appeared on Bas on Icarus. Ari Lennox debuted her first single from Shea Butter Baby, Whipped Cream on the 16th of July in 2018. The music video followed by a music video in September. Then on November 9, she released two additional singles: forty Shades of Choke as well as Grampa. Then, on November 13 she dropped two more singles titled The No One and Pdigree. Shea Butter Baby. Shea Butter Baby later made appearances in the Creed II album soundtrack alongside Cole. She dropped this single in order to announce her debut album Creed II on 26 February 2019. The music video premiered 20 February 2019 in order to go along with the track. Within the first week, it had over 3 million views. In support of the track She toured in concert with 6LACK in December 2018 on The From East Atlanta With Love Tour.
